I believe in laughter... I believe in warm summer nights... I believe in the miracle of life... I believe in running barefoot chasing lightnin bugs... I believe in toothless giggles, and messy hair... I believe childhood is magical... I believe life is beautiful... I believe you can never have too many pictures... I believe in capturing life... I believe pictures should tell stories... -YOUR STORY-

The story of our thanksgiving

This is the story of our thanksgiving ….

how we woke up .. and watched the Macy’s thanksgiving day parade

and made the kids warm cider.

How Tippy stood at the back door begging for leftovers…

and the kids spilled an entire bowl of beans out of the fridge.

How Trey ran through the house playing football all morning….

and my husband looked at all the sales papers.

How this day.. marks the first time Addi let me fix her hair up.

Our first stop was GG’s….

and as usual… it took Addi awhile to warm up to the crowd.

The table overflowed with yummy food…….. that was blessed with love.

Kailey still climbed the big tree out front…

the men played backyard football….

and Addi hid with her cousins while great aunt Vicky seeked.

Kailey had her hillbilly teeth in…

which caused the red head to fuss.

We then headed to grandma’s house…

another meal… more love…. more laughs…. and more football.

As I made my coffee… and poured sugar out of the old worn sugar dish … my mind went back to my childhood days… and those memories wrapped around my grandma… and I instantly wished she were here.

Addi entertained herself with the magnetic santa on grandma’s fridge….

and then…

as fast as it started…..

thanksgiving day was done…

and it was time to head home.

This is the story of our thanksgiving… how for one day…. we eat.. we laugh.. we love… and we give thanks… for

Happy thanksgiving!!!!

Ever see a photographer who starts out with a 365 day project, or even a 52 week project and never finishes? Yeah, me too. Well, I recently joined a group of a few other busy photographers who decided to commit to a 12 month project! If we fail this, we’ll be taking donations for a time management seminar. The best part is that it will be totally candid, lifestyle shots of each of our own families/lives. We don’t even have to dredge up random people or make our kids pose for us. We’re calling the series “The Story of ________” and we’ll each be filling in our own blanks. At the end of this post is a link to another photographer who participated and she’ll be linking to someone else. It’s a whole big circle of stories in pictures. Click through and enjoy!
